Hand Painting Virtually
Images can be painted from scratch, or a painting can be created from clonepainting a favourite image.
As with traditional artwork, it is hand painted stroke by stroke on computer (no more waiting for paint to dry or inhaling of fumes). Then it is printed on archival fine art paper or artists premium canvas to preserve it for future generations. Certainly worth the investment for that special moment/people in one's life. Your painting is a once-off exclusive and unique item as with any organic painting.
HOW DOES IT WORK
Have the correct photo
Whilst it is possible to paint from a poor quality image, a higher res image allows the artist to produce a larger painting with more detail for use in large wall art items. If it is an image taken by a professional photographer, be sure you have the copyright/right to use it in this way.
Portrait or Scene?
Would you like a portrait style painting or would you like a scene? In the case of a scene, would you like your daughter sitting in a field of flowers? Or your son in a little boat? This does affect the length of time in painting and eventual costs.
Commision the Painting
Contact me (button below) and let us discuss your image and requirements together with the final size/medium the painting is to be delivered to you on.
Pay the Artist
Upon receipt of your retainer, you are added to the queue.You will be notified once I start painting. Depending on my workload at the time, I will usually complete it within 3-6 weeks . After this it is sent to the professional lab for printing (and framing if requred).
Painting adds sparkle to your life
Your painting will be delivered to your door by myself or a courier. You can also collect if you wish. You will be provided with a free watermarked webres version to share on Social Media.
What are the costs?
Paintings start at R995 for an A5 framed print (Half Carat Package). Larger prints or canvas (highly recommended) options are also available. Typically my clients spend R1800+ on a particular painting (one or more products). Scenes, composites and multiple subjects command a higher price.
